The Safari North Wildlife Park opened this spring just a few minutes away from the cabin. We had a chance to visit it over the weekend and we like what we found.
Since we arrived early, there was almost no one else there and it was quiet and peaceful. Just us and the animals! (Things like ample parking and minimal crowds score lots of points with this mama.)
We also got to feed a two-year-old giraffe named Puzzles. And in the bird house, we had a bunch of parakeets land on us which the little girls thought was really cool. So did I.
For a souvenir, Cece chose a large stuffed purple rattle snake. She loves it has slept with it every night since.
This zoo is certainly worth a visit if ever you find yourself up north!
