I want to take a moment to share the information about my Dad's benefit which now has a set date and details.
By now, I think everyone is aware that my dad and our family is going through a tremendously difficult and unreal time right now. I can't thank everyone enough for the kind words, thoughts, and prayers that have been extended to us these past few months. They've helped more than you know.
I write this blog in huge part for my family, especially my dad. He tends to be my biggest fan. (I don't mean on the blog, but in life.) So I'm going to continue posting and I'm going to keep the content positive and Cece-centric, as usual. I still believe positivity is important, even now.
If you didn't get the Facebook invite, consider this your invite. However, I'm sorry if you got the Facebook invite more than once as my sister and I have quite a lot of mutual friends.
Again, thank you to everyone who has offered love, kindness, and support to our family recently. It's incredible knowing that so many people love my dad as much as we do.
Below is the official information for the event:

Michael Yuen – “Mike” is 53 years old. He is a loving son, brother, husband, and father to three children and one grandchild. Mike has dedicated his entire life to supporting his family and working in the field of business for more than 35 years.
On December 14th 2012, with only a mere few weeks of symptoms, Michael Yuen was diagnosed with stage IV Colon Cancer – inoperable. An immediate aggressive chemotherapy regimen was planned; however, because the cancer was so advanced, during Mike’s attempt at treatment, he has experienced many setbacks and complications. Mike has been hospitalized numerous times in the past 3 months, and he has undergone many procedures with the intention to carry on with the chemotherapy. Despite sincere effort, the cancer is showing no mercy and has spread to all of his surrounding organs. Presently, Mike’s pain is nearly unmanageable and he has experienced rapid unprecedented weight loss.
Shortly after Mike’s diagnosis, parents from his son’s high school hockey team (Michael Jr. is a senior on the hockey team) reached out to the Yuen family with the proposal of having a benefit. After all of Mike’s years of devoting 110% of himself, at this time, please help us give back to Mike as he continues fighting every day for his life. Help us do what we can and relieve him/his family of the financial burden that this terminal illness has bestowed upon them.
Graciously,
