One ca-RAZY day this week, Joe finished work by noon. NOON! Of course, when he arrived home, Cece and I weren't there because I had decided to take us on an impromptu trip to the zoo. (I think the idea hit me when I realized that it was only 8 a.m. and I had read Good Night, Gorilla five times already.) Even though Joe has been under the weather and overworked, he drove out to the zoo to meet us. We had cheese curds and enjoyed Cece calling every animal "Maya." I'm calling it a pretty special afternoon.
And whoa, how about Cece being so close to the large cat predator? Thank goodness for that sturdy zoo glass.
