You came to visit ME???

I was super excited to have my mom come visit me this week. I was the kind of excited where I couldn't sleep, couldn't sit still, couldn't stop trying to clean the house, etc. So, she pulls up in our driveway Saturday afternoon, we hug and she tells me that there is a surprise in the car. I go to the car and in the front seat "hiding" is MY SISTER!

Therefore, the last three days have been lovely uninterrupted time with my mom, sister, and daughter. Cece warmed up to both of them pretty quickly and got giggly showing off her new walking moves (and dance moves). I had such a wonderful time and we were able to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather (and even the not-so-beautiful weather). Enough babble. PHOTOS!

Saturday: Opening our Easter "basket," chicken pot pie for dinner, and much-needed catching up.

Sunday: Breakfast of quiche and Irish soda bread.

Cece's first trip to the zoo. (Note all of the Madagascar animals.)

The Sunken Gardens at Como Park

Dinner at Don Pablo's.

Monday: Mall of America. Lunch at Bubba Gump's. The Princess Diana Exhibit. We couldn't take photos inside the exhibit, but we enjoyed it very much. We even thought about wearing "fascinator" hats. (Shows how much we know about British culture). Cece was amazingly well-behaved for all of these outings. And totally exhausted by the end.

I was bummed to have to drive Rob to the airport at 5 a.m. this morning. Not just because it was 5 a.m., but because I am going to miss her dearly. Luckily, my mom is still here for a couple more days ; )

  2. BTW, the photo with the polar bear hood is the first time I see a Ray resemblance over the usual angry Pilgrim look, you think?
